Amid the controversy at this year 94th Academy awards there was some big moments for actors and directors. The award ceremony took place at the Dolby theatre, Hollywood. Celebrities in attendance were Jay Z & Beyoncé, Zoe Kravitz, Denzel Washington, Regina Hall, Lupita Nyong’o & more.
The person who stole the show for more than one reason was Will smith. He won ‘Best Actor’ for his hit film ‘King Richard’ his first ever Oscar! In his emotional speech he thanked the Williams family & spoke about his purpose. “I want to say thank you to Venus and Serena and the entire Williams family for entrusting me with your story. That’s what I want to do. I want to be an ambassador of that kind of love and care and concern.” Watch the speech below.
Fresh from his BAFTA win Questlove picked up his first Oscar for his directorial debut ‘Summer of soul.’ The film won ‘Best documentary feature.’ Another winner was Ariana Debose for best actress. See List of winners below.
