LASHANA LYNCH WINS BAFTA ‘EE RISING STAR AWARD’

The 75th British Film Academy Awards were held at the Royal Albert Hall last night. In attendance were some notable faces including Naomi Campbell, Daniel Kaluuya and Ariana Debose. 

Lashana Lynch won the EE Rising star award after her standout performance as ‘Nomi’ in ‘No time to die.’ Making history in the process by being the first woman & woman of colour as 007. In her acceptance speech she thanked her ‘Parents and the Windrush generation for her existence’ Watch the full speech below.

Other winners include Jeyes Samuel for his debut film ‘The harder they fall’. Will Smith for his role in ‘King Richard’ & Cherish Otek for her documentary ‘The black cop’
